Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about fares, distance, stops, luggage, MED Airport, elderly travellers and peak-season travel.
How much is a taxi from Makkah to Madinah?
A private sedan starts from 500 SAR on standard travel dates. The complete fare depends on the assigned vehicle, pickup and destination, passengers, luggage, stops and travel period.
How long does a taxi take from Makkah to Madinah?
The 430–450 km road journey normally takes approximately four to five hours. Traffic, prayer or refreshment stops and busy pilgrimage periods can increase the total time.
Is the Makkah to Madinah fare charged per passenger?
No. Displayed fares are per private vehicle, not per passenger, subject to the confirmed passenger and luggage capacity.
What is included in the taxi fare?
The quotation covers the confirmed private vehicle, driver and agreed hotel-to-hotel journey. It should state fuel, applicable highway charges, included waiting and requested stops before payment.
Is this a private transfer?
Yes. The standard vehicle is reserved for the passengers included in your booking and is not shared with unrelated travellers.
Can we stop for prayer, food or a washroom break?
An agreed short stop can be requested when booking. Confirm its location, duration and whether any additional waiting charge applies.
Can you drop us at Madinah Airport?
A drop-off at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport can be requested, subject to availability. Airport distance and fare may differ from a Madinah hotel transfer, so provide the flight and terminal details.
How much luggage can we take?
Capacity depends on the vehicle and bag sizes. Send every suitcase, cabin bag, stroller, wheelchair or mobility item; large luggage can reduce usable passenger seats.
Can elderly passengers travel?
Yes. Share walking, seating, wheelchair-storage and rest-stop needs before booking. The team can check vehicle suitability, but the service does not replace medical or specialist accessibility assistance.
Can I book a return taxi from Madinah to Makkah?
Yes. Use the dedicated Madinah to Makkah taxi page to review the reverse journey and request a separate or return quotation. View the Madinah to Makkah taxi.
Do prices change during Ramadan or Hajj?
Availability and fares can change during Ramadan, Hajj, Eid and other high-demand periods. Confirm the complete price for the exact date before travel.
How do I pay and what happens if plans change?
Payment is accepted in Saudi riyals by cash or through confirmed bank-transfer instructions. Confirm the deposit, balance, cancellation, refund, waiting and route-change terms before paying.
